Windows 11 insider preview is finally available to the public. The design has been improved, and especially the settings page is much more user-friendly than in Windows 10.
However, the good changes are only related to the design. There are some disappointing aspects in terms of functionality. One of them is that you cannot move the taskbar freely; you can only keep it fixed at the bottom. This might be inconvenient for those who were used to having it on the top or sides.
So, in this tutorial, we will show you how to forcefully move the taskbar.
Value | Position |
---|---|
00 | Left |
01 | Up |
02 | Right |
03 | Down |
Please input the desired value from the table above. Note that the right and left options might have some issues on certain systems.
With this, the taskbar position change is complete. Why did Microsoft create such a frustrating specification? Since it works with registry changes, they should include an option to revert it in the settings. Windows 11 still seems to lack polish and is not yet ready to be sold as a finished product. We hope for improvements in the future.
